It’s not always easy to directly link marketing campaigns to revenue or KPIs, especially in a landscape where consumers require multiple touchpoints before converting. We know the power of a strong brand presence, but proving that to sales teams or executives isn’t always straightforward. Even in 2025, marketing can still feel undervalued. Many organizations now recognize the need for strategic marketing, but not all see it as essential. Our challenge is not only to deliver results, but also to communicate the value of our work consistently.

Learning is Essential

Marketing never stands still, so neither can we. Lifelong learning is essential in this field. Even after earning my CM designation, I continue to attend webinars, workshops, and professional development courses to stay current and enhance my skills. One of the greatest benefits of being a CM member is access to ongoing education and resources that keep you ahead of industry shifts.

Digital Presence

Even in the short time since I began my career, the marketing world has undergone drastic changes. The rise of digital channels has transformed the way we engage with audiences. I’m especially excited about the role artificial intelligence will play in the future of marketing. It can feel intimidating, but I see it as a powerful tool that will empower marketers to be more efficient, creative, and strategic. The key is to embrace it as a collaborator, not a competitor.
